| Date: 06.11.2001 Author: Sandra Auzina-Bonello Software: Ulead PhotoImpact 7 or 6 Additional filters: Texturizer filter which is located in your Photoshop plugin folder. Additional files: Presets download here. Includes 3 big and 3 small presets for your use. We will need just one in this tutorial. The rest is for your future creations. You can also use your own presets and tiles. For learning how to import presets go here |
| 1. Open a new canvas - 750x500. Fill it with "tile1_small.jpg" from presets zip file. With Path drawing tool - shape=rounded rectangle, mode=2D draw a rectangle a bit smaller than your canvas. Right click and align center both. | ![]() |
| 2. Using an eyedropper tool pick the color you would like to have as a background for your web set in the central part. Open a new canvas 100x100, go to Edit/Fill and click in box as shown. It will change color in Color box. Click ok. Go to Effects/Texturizer and chose Sandstone with Relief=2. Save the file as jpg in folder where you will save all your graphics for this set. My suggestion is to create a new folder for it. Close the file. With a Pick tool click on your rounded rectangle to select it, go to Format/Fill/Image and navigate to your saved background image. Click OK. Right click on your rectangle and duplicate. Change mode for 3D pipe, Border and Depth=13. With 3D Pipe rectangle still selected go to your Easy Palette and find the Gallery you created from downloaded zip file. Double-click on Big1. |
|
| 3. Go to Easy Palette and pick Flower3. Get the rose stamp shown on right. Resize if you want. Flip horizontally. Go to Edit/Fill and with eyedropper tool pick the darker shade in your canvas background. Set Merge to Colorize and click ok. Add a shadow if you want. Duplicate and drag out in workspace or save in Easy Palette - we will need it later. Place your flower on top left corner as shown. Near to flower put the welcome text. I am using font=Amazone, mode=2D, size=50, color=dark shade from background. |
|
| 4. Go to View/Base Image - now you will have a transparent background. We will make our frame on a transparent background to make it look better,
because our background tile is with big ornament and will not fit perfectly.
